Some Recent Clobber

So here are some outfits that I bought recently, and I thought they're quite useful in showing two slightly different Modette looks. The first is a dress from the always wonderful Atom Retro, and is the classic shirt dress that I believe every Modette should own. It's basically a stretched polo shirt and is great for day to day wear. As a Mod you should never have 'don't bother' days, the whole ethos of being of a Mod is looking sharp allday, everyday. But this dress is brilliant when you're feeling tired, as you can just throw it on and viola!! Instant Mod.

Que awkward poses.

The second outfit is one I reserve for stepping out in, one of my outfits to be seen in. I bought it as I was heading to Carnaby Street and of course needed something new.

More awkward posing the in my dining room.

First I need to make a confession. It's from Topshop. But bear with me here, don't close the page just yet. I had a certain image in my head of what I wanted (Peter Pan collar, long sleeves, cuffs) but after trawling the Internet and charity shops for several days, couldn't find what I wanted. So as a last resort I went to Topshop which proved successful as you can see. I absolutely adore this dress because it just screams sixties, especially when teamed with white tights (which are absolute gits to find. Seriously, nowhere sells them). The picture doesn't show it very well, but it is actually made of velvet and is a nice navy colour. I also managed to nab some navy brogues at the last minute. I would have proffered some kitten heels, but not for walking round London.

Well that's all for now, but I have a lot more in store for the next few weeks.

I like the black one with the white collar :-)
Its very difficult, to find white tights.
Looking sharp is one thing, it is quite another thing to looking sharp in winter clothing ;-)

  2. Love the topshop dress, it is hard to always find that perfect dress from a vintage or charity shop so no one blames you for going to topshop lol!

Sometimes when your looking for something in particular its best to go to a high street shop and its always good to mix & match high street fashion with vintage too ;)

Also lovin' the polo dress, your right its a must have
